New CDC recommendations about Covid-19 quarantine.

The CDC has updated the recommendations for quarantine after an exposure to someone with Covid-19. The quarantine period has been reduced to 10 days from 14 days. There is an option for only 7 days if the individual has a negative test. Here is a link to the new recommendations.

The State of Colorado has not updated their website to reflect the new recommendations so please follow guidelines for you locality. Here is a link to State of Colorado guidelines.

Colorado isolation and quarantine guidelines.

We are doing testing at our office. We do nasopharyngeal swab with PCR testing and send it out to Centennial State Lab. They have a turnaround time of 48-72 hours, lately some results have been available sooner. We are notifying families as soon as we get results.
